Since the book “The Secret” many people have made the decision to perceive their reality from a new perspective and live life with intentionality. The Secret taught us we could change our lives in a way that many had not discovered prior to reading the book.
Further to The Secret others have added their perspective on the subject of how we can walk our path in a more intentional way. Rupert Sheldrake says ” Morphic fields underlie our mental activity and our perceptions….the morphic fields of mental activity are not confined to the insides of our heads. They extend far beyond our brain through intention and attention.” (Rupert Sheldrake).
So what are morphic fields? The major theory of morphic fields is that they consist of patterns that govern the development of forms, structures and arrangements. If we think of morphic fields as a container, road map or outline so to speak for our intention then it becomes clearer as to why our attention is so important.
Once an intention is set we can sometimes find ourselves waiting for the result and if I am “looking for” results I may become disappointed that the intention has not arrived so to speak.
However….what if I set an intention and begin to look for the “evidence” that the intention is already in my field of energy, this is a different perspective to have in comparison to the last example.
What I am suggesting is that if we are living in a sea of dimensions in which we can choose our path then could it be that it follows an individual can choose the dimension in which they would like to exist?
If I can choose my path in this way, does it also follow that my actions might be an important component? To explain, if I am choosing to act in a way that connects me to the dimension in which I do not want to live then what might happen if I choose actions that coincide with living in the dimension in which I want to live?
So what might I be seeing, in this new dimension? I believe this could connect me with what I want to see in this new dimension! Hmm….so if I begin to see things differently could I be making a internal shift to see my life in the way I prefer to see things!
This may not mean my life instantly changes, however it speaks to Bruce Lipton’s work which suggests we are what we believe! So if I shift my beliefs do I shift my reality?
Shift to a New Reality
How do I shift to a new reality? As mentioned earlier, I begin to bring my attention to or connect to what I would be seeing if living in my preferred reality.
I can also bring my attention to what I would be hearing in my new reality. I am reminded of the amazing ability to use guided imagery to convince the brain it is in the client’s favorite place and not sitting in the office chair.
The client does not need to be physically in their favorite place (for example, the beach) we only need to bring the brain’s attention to what its’ senses are experiencing.
In other words, the brain believes it smells the salt water, and hears the waves, sees the blue sky and the ocean, touches the sand, and tastes its’ favorite drink and we have convinced the brain it is there! Voila! The brain is convinced it is at the beach.
What might happen if I also add action! I have set my intention, I have brought my attention to what is different and now I am adding action. How can I bring a different action to this circumstance?
For instance if a person for whatever reason wants to move from their current location however they only see reasons why they are unable to move they can set their intention, and begin to look for opportunities to live in a different dimension by imagining the feeling of living in another location (bring all of the senses to this new location), what does it look like, what does it smell like in this new location, what would they be hearing then begin actively looking for a new location (action) in which to live then look for what is different thereby bringing our attention to the shift. Our senses can provide the road map or morphic field in our mind.
If it is challenging to even begin the process of Intention, Attention, and Action, which can occur in a different sequence, try engaging in relaxation techniques, play, or self-care as a catalyst for opening to insight. Even an awareness of ourselves in the present moment can be a path to intention. If a person feels anxious then the intentionality of calmness can be their focus.
Energy sessions can help with this process. Initially by setting the intention prior to the session we can energetically connect to the frequency in which we desire to live. Sometimes this frequency can be experienced immediately and for some the vibration of calmness is felt later in the session or afterward. Each person is unique and the wisdom of the universe many not need to reveal how it subsequently arrives at the desired intention.
By following this process we let the universe know we are open to new opportunities or dimensions that exist, even though we may be unaware of how to access them, we don’t need to know how. Thank goodness for universal wisdom!
